What is it that the Marilyn HD 2018 can do? It has 99 st itches programmed in its memory along with their individual standard parameters, so we don't have to worry about programming the machine's settings every time we change the way we sew. No maneuvering of dials - this makes it ideal for the less initiated and complete beginners.

However, when you want to change the standard settings for the specific material you will be working with, the machine will allow you to make precise, infinite adjustments to each of the sewing parameters - including stitch length and width. Thesettings are selected by entering the appropriate values on the easy-to-read electronic display. Contrary to appearances - this is child's play!

Automatic sewing with stepless speed adjustment

Unlike traditional mechanical machines, Marilyn allows you to control not only through the attached foot controller, but also through the START/STOP button inthe housing, which is more comfortable for many people. It's a bit like the machine "sewing by itself." - we press START and that's it, we sew.

Moreover, Marilyn HD 2018 allows you to manually set the sewing speed thanks to a clearly marked slider. If it is to be operated by a less experienced person or we are making a particularly complicated piece, we can simply move the slider to the left to cause the needle to slow down as much as possible. Conversely, if you want to increase the speed of sewing, just move the slider to the right. When sewing larger areas of fabric (such as bedding or curtains), we can simply set the machine to a certain sewing speed, turn on automatic sewing, and control only that the stitch runs straight along the designated line.

Function buttons to make sewing easier

A huge advantage of the Marilyn is the function buttons, which make sewing work much more pleasant while saving you time.

• The fully automatic locking button, which allows you to machine loop the beginning and end of a stitch to prevent it from snapping. There is no need to perform a "bolt" at the beginning as well as the end of the sewing to lock the stitch. Just press the button and the machine will automatically loop at any time.
• The automatic needle lift button, on the other hand, allows to program the machine to always finish sewing with the needle lifted up or stuck in the fabric. Never again will you forget to raise the needle before changing a stitch. You also don't have to maneuver the handwheel after you finish sewing.
• When you need to turn off the fabric transport (such as when sewing a button or embroidering), you can simply retract the conveyor teeth by moving the machine's special lower transport switch.
• For beginners, for whom the thread often breaks while sewing, and for people with poor eyesight or reduced hand dexterity, the function of automatic threading on the machine needle will be indispensable. No need to aim at the eyelet definitely makes life easier, saves time and nerves!

Quiet operation thanks to the rotary gripper

Marilyn HD 2018 has a high-end rotary shank, which, unlike the shuttle shank, allows quieter operation and easier attachment of the lower bobbin in the machine drum. Through the transparent drum cover, you can view the amount of thread remaining on the machine's lower bobbin at any time. You will never again be surprised by a sudden end of a stitch and a thread running out at the least opportune moment.

Automatic functions and modern LED lighting

Naturally, Marilyn also has functions and conveniences appropriate for machines of a lower class than it, such as LED lighting above the work area, automaticbuttonholehemming for buttons or reverse sewing. Metal components of the machine

The body and small components of the Marilyn HD 2018 were manufactured from modern metal alloys, with properties corresponding to the conditions in which the components work or could potentially be exposed. Also inside is the motherboard with its wiring - just like in a computer. This allows the device to be controlled with buttons and display information on the screen.

Marilyn's internal metal componentsare enclosed in a lightweight case made of polycarbonate combining protection of the mechanism with light weight. This makes it easy to move the device from place to place or store it away (for example, in a closet) when you're done.
