Double needle is most often used for underlining sleeves, bottoms in blouses, as well as for decorative sewing (we can sew with two different colors of thread, for example).
Sewing with a double needle we create two parallel straight stitches , and a zigzag underneath.

Wanting to use it, we must check in the instructions whether our machine is adapted for sewing with a double needle. The machine must certainly have a zigzag stitch to be able to use such a needle (but this is not the only criterion, so you need to read the instructions).

Remember!

Also check the tip of the needle on a regular basis, when you notice any signs of wear, replace the needle with a new one. The condition of the needle affects the quality of the stitch, a damaged needle tip can destroy the sewn fabric. Needles should be stored in their original packaging to prevent damage.
